I would absolutely recommend a long-sleeve fitted top as you’re approaching spring/summer. I love the comfort of wearing one around my shoulders with shorts/camisole or a dress. Sometimes even over a bathing suit if I go for a dip and need to immediately put a layer back on before getting dressed.
Further to this, I would look for a pure merino version that has a tight, almost cotton-like weave as opposed to a sweater-knit weave. I think you’d have some luck with Smartwool or another outdoor brand just to see the style options and what you like. Off the top of my head, I think MEC would be a good start as they have so many brands (I remember this from shopping in Halifax).
Lastly that sweater is ridiculously gorgeous and I’m actively trying to *not* think about it. Going to deep-dive yak wool though to find out how it compares to alpaca.
